Privacy Policy
This policy explains what happens to the text you submit and the limited data we process.
Last updated: July 6, 2026
The short version
We don’t require an account, and we don’t store your submissions on our servers or sell your data. To rewrite your text, we send it to a third-party AI provider. Because of that, please don’t paste confidential, personal, or sensitive information.
Text you submit
When you click Humanize, the text you enter is sent from our server to our AI provider (OpenRouter) and the underlying language model, which generate the rewritten version. That text is processed by those providers under their own privacy and data-handling policies. We do not save your input or output to a database, and we don’t use it to train any model.
Information we process
- Submitted text — sent to the AI provider to produce a rewrite, as described above; not stored by us.
- Basic technical logs — standard request data (such as IP address, timestamp, and error information) kept briefly for security and reliability.
- Local preferences — your light/dark theme choice is saved in your browser (local storage), never sent to us.
Third-party services
We rely on a small number of providers to run the service:
- OpenRouter and the selected language model — to perform the rewrite.
- Cloudflare — hosting, delivery, and security for the site.
Each processes data under its own terms and privacy policy.
Cookies
We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies. The only client-side data we keep is your theme preference in your browser’s local storage.
Your choices
Because we don’t hold accounts or stored submissions, there’s little personal data for us to retrieve or delete. If you have a privacy question or request, contact us and we’ll help where we can.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
